Happy birthday to the Queen of Soul Music. Aretha Franklin was born on March 25th, 1942 and died on August 16th, 2018. She was 76 years old when she died. Gone but never forgotten, rest in peace.

Aretha was one of my favorites – ironically was listening to her right before I read your e-mail. Like the best female soul singers, she started out singing in her church choir.
Mailed your birthday present today – its wrapped in yellow paper – let me know when you get it.

Yes, she did. A lot of singers start out in churches it seems. But what a coincidence that you were just listening to her before seeing the post.
